If i have acne, whats a good product or brand to use....dermalogica, or any other advice other than proactive?

Try a gentle cleanser. One that is glycerin or sorbitol based will be good and it does not need to be expensive. Cetaphil and Neutrogena has some pretty good ones. Try Cetaphil庐 Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Wash your face at least twice a day and everytime after you perspire. If your skin is the oily kind, you do not need to apply any moisturizer, your skin oils are enough to keep it hydrated. If you really must apply a gentle light oil free one. Cetaphil庐 Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 or Cetaphil庐 Moisturizing Lotion is quite good

Apply pimple cream to the acne area. Try benzoyl peroxide low strength(2.5%) first. You can try oxy, panoxyl or Neutrogena brands. Neutrogena on-the-spot is pretty good. Don't pick poke scrub or pop your pimples unless you want scars which are really ugly. Scrubbing cleansers or washes are also no-nos because it equals picking and poking and makes acne worse Treated pimples gently.

Eat healthy. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Cut down on sugar and carb intake. Foods like chocolates, coffee, soda drinks, bread, rice potatoes or anything starchy and sugary are no-nos. Cut down on oily and fried foods also. Go for grilled, steamed or baked food. Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Ensure that your diet is rich in vitamin A, B5, C, E and Omega-3 which are important for the skin. Less stress and sleeping enough is also important. Not having enough sleep is like putting stress on your body. Makes sure you sleep at least 8 hours a day.

Visit a dermatologist if it doesn't work or worsen. Products can only help that much. You may need to tackle the problem internally with medication. If i have acne, whats a good product or brand to use....dermalogica, or any other advice other than proactive?
I use Arbonne Clear Advantage!! it the first thing to really help me out!!If i have acne, whats a good product or brand to use....dermalogica, or any other advice other than proactive?
Acne is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on the spots and wash when dry .Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

WHICH DERMALOGICA PRODUCT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?

Im using dermalogica clay cleanser which i love for my congested, oily pimple sensetive skin!

i would like to start using a exfoliater as still have a little congested areas so want to try either skin prep scrub or daily microfoliant! can any one say which i should go for.

My skin is senstive but funny enough i used the sensitive range which brought me out in spots and left my skin feeling very uncomfortable. xWHICH DERMALOGICA PRODUCT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?
Hi, I am a big fan of Dermalogica. The best facial wash to use if you have oily skin and spots is the Anti-bac skin wash which is now called clearing skin wash. I also like the ultra calming cleanser too- try alternating between the two if you have sensitive skin. I have this problem too and the problem with acne washes is that they assume you don't have sensitive skin. I use the clay cleaner about twice a week.

I prefer the daily Microfoliant to the prep scrub.WHICH DERMALOGICA PRODUCT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?
Hi....

I'm not sure what is the best products in the market but I personally using Revitol Acnizine. This products works best for me.... Clear my acne and blackhead in a weeks time and no scars...

I WILL GIVE TOP POINTS TO THE PERSON WHO ANSWERS THIS THE BEST. CAN TEENAGERS(14/15) USE DERMALOGICA?

im 13 turning 14 and ive heard soo much about dermalogica for acne. i have mild-moderate acne. will it help and is it okay 4 me to use?I WILL GIVE TOP POINTS TO THE PERSON WHO ANSWERS THIS THE BEST. CAN TEENAGERS(14/15) USE DERMALOGICA?
Dermologica is a highly specialized skin care range for specific skin problems. For these reasons it is very expensive. I have used it on my own acne, and it does work, however it does not cure it. Merely a temporary solution to a long term problem, as in the second you stop using it, it will come back. Try the medibac cleanser and a moisturizer in the range. All dermologica products are non comodogenic ( they don't block your pores) so there's no worries when using a matifying moisturizer, you won't break out!

Certainly its worth the money, just remember it's not a cure. If you go to your GP they willrecommendd something for you, either an acne gel (basically bleach to dry it out), steroid creams or a specific birth control pill that helps with acne (Dianette)

As you're only 13/14 Iwouldd certainly try dermologica, chances are by the time you're 15/16 you're acne will go of its own accord!

hope this helpsI WILL GIVE TOP POINTS TO THE PERSON WHO ANSWERS THIS THE BEST. CAN TEENAGERS(14/15) USE DERMALOGICA?
UR AGE IS PERFECT FOR USING DERMALOGICA PRODUCTS. only problem is the price, they are very expensive but they are very natural products. u should try ur pharmacist for an over the counter cream, it would probably be strong enough to treat mild/moderate acne. ask them for a facial routine or products the'y reccommend. pharmacists are higher qualified than doctors u know and would be delighted to help u. good luck, hope this helps u
Dermalogica is fine for any age but I think it's on the expensive side. But it's worth it if it really works. And if you (or your rents) really want to pay for it. Also, it depends on skin type and whether or not it works for you, not age.

Hope this helps :)
I used to use it (their clay based cleanser) and it was great lol.
try it...if it suits your face, go on...if not...cuhmon there r many things dat'll get the mark off!
um yeah why not

or you could go to th doctors ;)

Apply any lotion with aloe vera. It's cheap and effective. Expensive chemical preparations like Proactive will work too, but not as well.I have adult acne. Using a dermalogica wash. I still have redness. Moisturiser advice, at budget price?
Avene have excellent moisturisers for redness and suitable for a sensative skin. My parner uses the brand for his rosacea and it helps the redness.
ask your beauty therapist that supplied you with dermalogica of a redness reducing serum that you can use under a moisturizer.
Eucerin redness remover moisturizer. Probably find more info at drugstore.com

I have been charged VAT by Customs before when I purchased online.Does anyone know where I can buy Dermalogica products in Dublin. I don't want to buy online.?
Dermalogica do not sell their products in shops only through salons this is because they train their therapists in the correct use of the products.

Any beauty salon or spa near you which use demalogica will be able to help.

But if you get it on ebay I very much doubt you will be charged tax especially if you ask the seller to send it as a gift.

Hope this helps.Does anyone know where I can buy Dermalogica products in Dublin. I don't want to buy online.?
    maybe boots???????
i live in donegal i get them in most beauticians have u tried there? also if u have a salon suppies near u they will stock them good luck
a lot of salons use and sell dermologica products - check with your local salons or check on the website to see where stocks them
go to the dermalogica website www.dermalogica.com they have a link where if you enter your postcode they will give you a list of places that stock the product.

BTW was a big fan of dermalogica, but have recently tried Liz Earle http://www.lizearle.com/ it is quite good too and most of all it is completely natural.
Have you got a store called T J Hughes if you have your in luck! i couldn't believe it when i managed to pick up Dr Irena Eris Lirene products for as little as 拢1.50 a tube. its the real thing part of her dermoprogram i swear by it as i suffer from contact dermatitis.
You can buy them at Re:fresh, the spa attached to the Westwood gym in Clontarf (just next to the Clontarf dart station).
Have you tried The Dermal Institute website. That's the training college for Dermologica.

Dermalogica - is it worth the price?

Have any of you tried thier skincare line of products? The lady that gave me a facial recommended I buy them. Are they really worth the price or can I get the same results with Neutrogena (for example) or some other store brand and save a ton of money?Dermalogica - is it worth the price?
    Hi,

I use Dermalogica and have for a long time. I use it because it was developed by a Skin Institute in the US by researchers. Also because its only sold through professional Skin Treatment Centres, by skin therapists. So it means that they are prescribing for your skin not just trying to sell you product from a cosmetic floor so they can make their budget for the month! I hate that!! I am happy to have regular facials and buy the product because I know my Skin therapist attends Dermalogica classes and is up to date with the lastest and most effective techniques. And also its very environementally conscience company!Thats very important.

Cost wise?? If you compare Dermalogica to other Professional Skin Cares ranges from Department stores, its very cost effective. Your not paying $80 for a 100ml glass bottle!! Dont forget... you dont buy your medicine from a supermarket, you buy it from the people who are trained to prescribed and sell it. Dont forget your skin is the biggest organ throughout your entire body, you cant just go putting any old thing on it!

Overall, its worth it! I love it and cant go without it!!Dermalogica - is it worth the price?
I've had two facials by a Dermalogica representative. Both times I broke out terribly. (I was told that was normal, but why on earth would I spend money to have my skin react that way?!!) And during both facials, each time the lady who gave it to me spent the majority of the time telling me about how wonderful the products were. It totally felt like a sales job - NOT a facial, and I left the salon feeling angry.

Forget the commercial store brands; they're loaded up with all kinds of crap. Find a good handmade soap maker, who can tell you exactly what and why s/he uses the ingredients. More expensive is NOT necessarily better.
why do u need them,.....just think alittle...
I have never found anything that works as good as the new nutergena 3-1 stress acne product now on the market at walmart for a little over six dollars. pro active was the worste. And my sister who is younger than me asked me why my skin always looks so good thinking I must have found something new. but I told her was good old noxzema. Just make taking care of your skin fun and don't forget the more water you drink the healtheir your skin and body will be.
i got one of those little package deals where you get like a facial, haircut, and manicure for like $30 my first year of college. then when i went in for the facial, the woman was sitting there telling me everything that was wrong with my skin (which i get compliments on all the time) saying i need dermalogica eye cream and line reducer and exfoliating scrub, over $100 worth of dermalogica crap. i bought a couple things and didn't notice any difference at all. a lot of it is i think they try to make you feel bad about yourself to get you to buy stuff you don't really need, but if you are looking for a skincare line, the wexler products at bath and body works are great. they are a little pricier than what you would get at a supermarket, but they are worth it and still a lot cheaper than dermalogica.

Dermalogica ultra sensitive spf 30 faceblock question?

    Hello,

I have just bought this product, and was wanting to know whether it is as good as any other sun protection, it says on the packaging that is has filters for both UVA and UVB and doesn't used harsh chemicals, instead it uses mineral oxides...but I am concerned that it won'tbe as good as other big sellers. Can anyone advise me?Dermalogica ultra sensitive spf 30 faceblock question?
cant be bothered to read the question but can be bothered to write that pointless answer? weirdo.

mineral oxides do block out UV, and they can't say it's SPF 30 unless it actually is. blocking out UVA and UVB is what you want as well. i would trust it.Dermalogica ultra sensitive spf 30 faceblock question?

  • Which is better - arbonne's nutrimin c line or dermalogica?

Dermalogica is a superior product. It was developed by a dermatologist. I have worked with it and used it myself. It is extremely user friendly, effective and the skin mapping system is ingenious. The packaging is elegant in it's simplicity, it is androgynous, making it acceptable for men to feel good about using it too.( Vitamin C in products is usually too unstable to really be effective. Arbonne is not great, it is a glorified Mary Kay/Avon type product.)

http://www.dermalogica.com/default2.asp?鈥?/a>Which is better - arbonne's nutrimin c line or dermalogica?
I vote Arbonne too. I'm using the Nutirmin C line and love it. I have also seen great results for myself and others who are using the products.Which is better - arbonne's nutrimin c line or dermalogica?
I have tried it all!! The typical junkie I was until I was introduced to Arbonne!! I am an Arbonne Consultant now.

You too will notice how beautiful your skin can really be!!

I use Arbonne and love it.
My vote is for Arbonne. Plenty of dermatologists and drs carry Arbonne in their offices because of the results their patients have experienced! These products are great :)

PLUS they have excellent ways to save money on the products that you're consultant can tell you all about. This line lasts between 6-9 months, so its also VERY economical!

    HTH!
My Vote is far Arbonne!! I love it and it does last a very long time!!
    i'd go for arbonne.
Sorry to bust your bubble but Avon has really moved up in the world of skin care and cost a lot less.

I've tried Arbonne and Mary Kay and Dermalogica and so many others and I have never been so happy with my skin since I tried Avon's skin care line, Anew.

What's better for acne, ProActiv, or Dermalogica?

For me, ProActive was a good overall facial cleanser, but I didn't find that it did much for my acne. It did, however, take the color out of several of my towels, as there's peroxide in the product. I'm not familiar with Dermalogica. What's better for acne, ProActiv, or Dermalogica?

The severe acne free system works good...if you have mild acne, then you could try just the regular acne free system (you can buy it at walmart or target)What's better for acne, ProActiv, or Dermalogica?
ive been using proactive for two months and it hasnt done me much good xcept leave my skin dry. i havent tried it yet but it looks legit so far but its a product by neutrogena called skinID. u go on their site and they give u a free online assesment (a possible gimick though) on your skin to compile a custom 3 step kit to get rid of your blemishes.

I am not sure about Dermalogica, but ProActiv didn't work well for me. I've been using for about 3 months, and it doesn't work that well. I think it works the same as any cheaper acne product. It dries your skin too.
Use PanOxel, my Dr reccomended it and it damn well worked

Which acne treatment is better proactiv, dermalogica, clinique three step, or arbonne?

i want to know which product works the best to treat acne, so i can have a healthy, smooth, acne free skin.Which acne treatment is better proactiv, dermalogica, clinique three step, or arbonne?
I have only tried Proactiv and Clinique. Clinique gave no result. Proactiv works for me. But if none work, you may want to try talking to a dermatologist for something a little stronger!Which acne treatment is better proactiv, dermalogica, clinique three step, or arbonne?
What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into pimples. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly pimples.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

    http://www.squidoo.com/thebestacnetreatm鈥?/a>

P.S. I also know someone who used to suffer from severe acne and finally got rid of it completely. She's sharing her story at her site:

    http://20six.co.uk/my-acne-solution

Maybe you could learn from her inspirational story

    .
Arbonne's Intelligence Not-so-Basics is a great line for those 16-30 with normal (not too oily) skin with few blemishes and smaller pores. If you're experiencing blackheads and pimples, you might consider the Clear Advantage Acne system. It contains 4 products including a dietary supplement to help support the skin from the inside out. The system contains salicylic acid, vitamins A, C, E, B6, Alfalfa, L-Lysine, and zinc, all of which are key ingredients to help fight acne.

Arbonne's products do not contain alcohol, wax, dyes, chemical fragrances, acetone, or mineral oil that have been know to cause irritation and dryness. This is important when treating skin conditions. All of Arbonne's products are pure, safe, beneficial, result oriented, and formulated to meet each individual's specific skin type.

If you have any questions or would like to learn anything more, please do not hesistate to email me. Best of luck!
Neutrogena is wonderful. That's all I use and it doesn't irrtate my skin. I have somewhat sensitive skin.
Every ones skin is different what works for one person may not be the best for another. The advantage of Arbonne is like Mary Kay you can sit down with a consultant and get a skin care consultant based on your needs try the products first.
Honest? Try Nature's Cure! It worked really well for my son - and the other products you talk about didn't...
In my case, none of those worked! But I've read that proactiv works well for most people with mild to moderate acne.

I used all of those and none of them worked, since I had cystic acne. I had to use benzoyl peroxide instead. It was the only non-prescription product that had any effect whatsoever.

I also decided to take Accutane which is only available by prescription.
Proactive does work, that's for sure, but statistics show that it only works on 90% of the people; and of those 90%, only 62% say it works longer than a month.

I suggest cleaning your face with Noxema every morning and night, then putting on Zapzits of Clearasal Ultra for the best results
ok so...just my opinion, but clinique has worked the best for me. I've tried proactive, a couple times actually and if anything it made acne worse...i would use it for about a month and stop because i couldnt take the skin irritation. I've also had two family members and some friends try proactive with similar results (i've really never heard anyone have luck with it...other than Jessica Simpson, but she gets paid to say that)...i honestly think its the biggest sham and it bleaches out ur towels and pillow cases!!! I've also tried that Nature's Cure or whatever that was talked about earlier and that works pretty well too, it left a weird film though. As for the anti microbial soap...those dont help either...u'd be just as well using bar soap (trust me my bio lab did an experiment on them and they dont work ;)...anyways, my vote is for clinique...its the shiz...hope that helps

How good is Dermalogica? Where can I get more information about it?

It's really excellent because it's taylored to your skins needs... you should have a consultation with a beauty therapist who sells it first to 'diagnose' your skin type, and then they can recommend the right dermalogica products for you own skin type. I think it's amazing! my skin is quite problematic and i have mild adult acne. I was using all sorts of stuff which never really worked and my spots were really bad and really noticeable all the time (i'm 25!!) but since i started using dermalogica - my skin's practically perfect!! i LOVE it! I'm like a walking advertisement for it! I love the stuff! My friends recommended it to me while I was using Clinique (got a small tester pack for 拢20).. It was alright but it didn't do much, my face felt hard even though my skin was 'smooth'. Only found out the real meaning of smoothness when I used Dermalogica lol. My mates with clear skin recommended it to me so I thought I'd give it a try as I was coming to the end of my Clinique stuff.

Just went onto their website (link below) then found my nearest beauty salon which supplies Dermalogica. Booked an appointment with their dermatologist and she 'face mapped' my skin and recommended some products for my skin. She then gave me some samples which lasted me for 1-2 weeks (good enough seeing as soon as I found the products most suited for my skin I went onto JerseyBeautyCompany online and bought all the products for a lower price. Btw I have combination skin and the normal/oily skin type contained the products she recommended for me so I got that before buying the BIGGER ones. Anyways fast delivery and all that and that's it really. Love my skin and all thanks to Dermalogica! =] x

Opinions on Dermalogica Skin care line?

I bought the cleanser, smoothing cream and moisturising mask. The only one id buy again is the cleanser as its really good for my skin and doesnt dry it out - it also prevented spots.

It sounds like it was dried up in the bottle from before.

I've never had a clay masque be that hard.

However, go to: Makeupalley.com, and sign up to be a free member, then check other members' reviews and reactions to the product. If they don't mention anything about it being hard to squeeze out, then you need to ask for a refund/replacement.

I think its a very wonderful product! I the kit about 2 weeks ago. It was about 40.00 at a cosmetic store called Ulta. I have horrible acne and it has worked very well. The cleanser makes your face feel fresh and clean. All the other products work well too. If you get the 30 day kit and see what works best for you, you can just go out and target what you need without buying the whole kit. Its very good for people with sensitive skin because it doesn't dry your skin out. I love it! If you buy it im sure you will love it too!

i went to salon to get facial and the lady said dermalogica is really good product and i forgot to ask her which one i need to buy...please help me which cleanser moisturiser i should buy,do i need to buy the toner also if yes which ones...help me here plz...i have many blackheads on nose and how can i get rid of them..Do you think dermalogica is best for sensitive skin?
    Hey there!

I only just started using dermalogica too, (since November 2008) and it has already helped my skin look smoother and my pimples have gone!

Anyway to answer your question, I recommend you buy the Dermalogica (Travel Set) - Sensitized Skin Kit. (I use the Dry one, because I have dry skin). This is what I did, just so you can test the products on your skin and see if it works after a few weeks. It contains the cleanser, toner, moisturiser, exfoliant and a few other goodies in little sample sizes. Then you will know if it is good for your sensitive skin, because everyone's skin is different (even those with the same type).

The kit costs about $42 US on www.strawberrynet.com

Hope this helps! :)Do you think dermalogica is best for sensitive skin?
I haven't tried Dermalogica yet so I don't know if it's best for sensitive skin.

As for blackheads, try Biore Pore Strips,I've heard a lot of good reviews about it,in fact,I'm going to buy one soon.

Does anyone know of any oil-free skin care products apart from Dermalogica?

Nuetrogena has a lot of great products that are affordable. If you want to spend a little more money, you can go to the Body Shop. They have a lot of natural products that work great.

    Does Dermalogica really work?

I have mild acne around my mouth. A friend suggested Dermalogica. It is expensive so I don't want to waste my money if it is no good.Does Dermalogica really work?
I have actually used Dermalogica products myself....even had a facial recently using their products. It does work, but with the proper use. What I would recommend is consulting someone who has experience using the product. I believe it works best with a combination of their products. I would also suggest getting samples to experiment and see if the product really works for you. You can find them anywhere that carries the product - most spas, department stores and boutiques have them. If you are in NYC, they just opened a store! I would start there....

Hope this helps answer your question :)

Does anyone use Dermalogica products and do you like them?

i used to use quite a few dermalogica products because my aunt is an esthetician and recommended them to me. some of my favorites were the anti-bac skin wash, gentle cleansing gel, and the clay mask i think it was. overall, i found their products to work very well. the only drawback is that they're very expensive. but, if you can afford it, i highly recommend them!Does anyone use Dermalogica products and do you like them?

Anyone out there using dermalogica products?

is dermalogica good for acne or blemish skin?im thinking of buying the products because my skin is rather sensitive..not proactive or other brands suit my skin...anyone out there who are using dermalogica products??is it good?Anyone out there using dermalogica products?
yes i love the line. the tratment foundation is awesome. i began using these products at the spa and fell in love with them. every single one of their products is good.Anyone out there using dermalogica products?
I use dermalogica stuff and I find that it works well for me, and I have or rather used to have regular spots.

I use the medicated clearing gel and the anti-bac skin wash and I find they are both really good.

The medicated clearing gel helps to get rid of the spots fast and the skin wash helps to prevent them. However it did take a long time for them to work properly, like most products.

The good thing about dermalogica is that they give you free samples to try out, which is good because I have dry-ish skin and I started to use their dermal clay cleanser but I found that it dried and irritated my skin so I started using the skin wash which doesn't dry my skin, which is good!

I also find that even though they can be expensive they do last a lot longer than your bog standard spot zappers, so in the long run they are generally cheaper, because they last you that much longer.

So from my years of spot fighting experience, basically you need to find something that works (dermalogica or not) and then stick with it.

    Good luck!

  • What would you recommend for a best primer/moisturizer for oily skin type? I am currently using dermalogica!?

I have eczema and have bad skin. I use Aveeno liquid soap without any perfumes or other astringents in it, also the Aveeno skin lotion without anything in it. I also use Eucerin and Hydrocortosone 2.5% for my skin, this is a script. I rub the Eucerin on first then the Hydro on last. I also get shots twice a week, they cost $2500.00 a shot.

Anyone out there use Dermalogica Products?

If so, which products have you been using and how do you like them. Or not.

I have just recently switched to this brand from Pervonia products since my facialist tends to use it.Anyone out there use Dermalogica Products?
They are really great. I use the ultra calming face wash. I've heard lots of great stuff about the rest of the line though.

    I'd go with Decleor

Demalogica is one of the best products out there for your skin care needs. I'm not sure how much it is in Euros, but USD you can get a starter kit for around 40$.

These products have made my skin beautiful in just a few short weeks.

I only want to purchase 1 item from dermalogica to get rid of my acne problem. Any recommendations???

I'm 24 and still have bad acne problems. I've tried many things from pro active, murad, dr. perricone, neutrogena, etc...but nothing seems to work for my acne. I really wanna get laser done but I know it doesn't last forever. I heard that Dermalogica is a good product so I would like to try it but don't want to invest in so much money bc I've spent so much on things that didn't work for me. I was wondering if I could just purchase one product from dermalogica like the Clarifying face wash??? Would that one product help me cleanse away my acne problems???I only want to purchase 1 item from dermalogica to get rid of my acne problem. Any recommendations???
I make my own Bath products, including tea tree essential oil face soaps which works wonders for problem skin.

    Hi..

will i think that u should try TRI-CLEAR u can order it on the computer...

i had acne but not that much only a lil bit but en a couple of days u can see the diffrence order it trust me it works...

Philosophy products are wonderful for acne skin. They have kits that contain everything under one kit. Not sure what the price range is for dermalogica products, but if it's in the same price range, give Philosophy a try. They have a acne kit and then one called makeup optional kit. It pretty much preps your skin so that over time you won't need makeup, yes it's just that good.

Do a search under beauty store at http://www.giftbasketsbygwen.snapmonkey.鈥?/a>
you know, just using a cosmetic product wont allways help you get rid of the problem. you often have to make some other things in order to help cosmetics make their job well. Pay attention to what you eat cause junk food usually aggravates the problem. Don't lose your nights in front of the computer or whatever cause it won't do any good to your skin. Use a product that contains antibiotics like erytromicin. Clean your face with a cleanser before using any other product and don't use soap to wash your face cause it will dry your skin excesivelly. And before buying another product try going to a doctor first if you haven't done this yet.

Has anyone used dermalogica skincare products if so what do u think x?

I used the dermal clay mask, the toner, and some other products from Dermalogica for about 8 months. I love it! It got rid of my acne in a few weeks. I don't use it anymore because I only got it from my dermatologist. But I would 100% definitely go back to using it.

Found it dried my skin out too much, havin said that i do have sensitive skinCan anybody give a review/opinion on Dermalogica's antibacterial facial wash and/or ultracalming cleanser?
Considering the price of the Dermalogica range, I don't think it's worth it. I have used their facial washes and exfoliators in the past and they didn't stop breakouts any more than much cheaper products i've used. They are good quality though and feel nice to use.
you need to go to a salon so they can analyse you skin %26amp; reccommend the correct products. if you use the correct products for your skin type then dermalogica is definately worth the money - you will not change to anything else.

Hiya, i done beauty therapy for a year and our main products that we worked with was Dermalogica. It's absolutly amazing, we had an open salon and customers was coming in from all over the place for facials!! My best friend and her boyfriend brought aload of stuff as we got a nice discount and they both said they sware by the name.

He used creams and exfoliators etc for his acne and now his skin has only a few normal spots it's unbelievable. She used the kit for oily skin and it worked wonders, it's definitly worth the price.

Try it out u will see a difference the first time u use it!!

    Have fun :)
Hi I鈥檓 a beauty therapist and I have found out of all the different products that I have worked with dermalogica is the best. and i personally use the oil kit that you just bought... i love it especially the cleanser with its cooling affect on the skin. i hope you enjoy using the product and that i helps your skin type ;-)
The Girls who do all the treatments at my Gym use them and reckon they are pretty good - also my wife had a facial using them and agreed they were very good quality.

What do you think about dermalogica clean start products?

    Have you used any?

    What is the best product?

thanks (:What do you think about dermalogica clean start products?
I went into my local Ulta Beauty Store after doing some Research on the line. I found out the place I should start was the starter kit. It had a little bit of everything and information on the products and company. Plus it was gift with purchase and the gift was a full sized Clean Start Backpack that was very good quality. I have been using the products and LOVE them! They took away all of the oils on my skin and my pimples and blackheads disappeared!! I couldn't believe it! They worked better than any other product I have ever used and now can't imagine life without Clean Start. It doesn't dry out or irritate the skin and my house is all cruelty free so the fact that no animals were tested upon for this line of dermalogica products is AMAZING!! I would recommend this system to anyone that has minor to medium acne and has oily skin and wants a CHANGE!!! The only downside to the products is the fact it is a little amount of onces for ALOT OF CASH! My little starter kit was $35.00!!! But then again if you are as conifdent and happy with yourself and your clear clean skin like I am, it's a small price to pay.

    Hi there,

Proactive dries out your skin so don't use it as its' all chemically based. Dermalogica is ok to good but very expensive. Have you heard of Arbonne? Its a Swiss Formulated, Made in the USA skincare which came to Australia about 6 months ago..They are very popular in the USA, Canada and in the UK...Their products are all natural, botanically based! Really good stuff..If you would like a sample please let me know..Sample are free...

    Also check out my website:

    https://secure.myarbonne.com.au/arbonne/鈥?/a>

Just sign my guest book and I will send you a free sample to try..

    Thanks
I have not conflict of interest to declare.

    The above answer is a little silly isn't it? ';Proactive is chemically based';?? Arbonne isn't?? Everything in the world is chemically based! Food is chemically based. Air is chemically based. Certainly, Arbonne is chemically based. The word ';natural'; is the slickest marketing strategy of the last century. It is used by multinational pharmaceutical companies to give a warm fuzzy mask to untested drugs. Botulinum toxin is natural and the most toxic substance known to humankind. Beware of anyone telling you things like ';you need this product....which, by the way, I just happen to sell.';

Your choices are topical such as benzoyle peroxide etc. Antibiotic soap may help some (eg. tersaseptic or generic brand - eg. Equate at Walmart). I suspect all of the topicals mentioned above will help somewhat. Topical prescriptions like Steivamycin (topical retinoic acid and erythromycin) or Clindamycin 2% in Neostrata are good for local areas. If it is severe, nodular etc or you have a large area then you will need to look at 1) a low testosterone oral contraceptive pill such as Tricyclen Lo, 2) An antibiotic such as Tetracycline or Minocycline and 3) if necessary a medication with some rare risks such as Accutane. There are rare incidences of depression and suicidality. Liver tests are monitored. Remember, driving your car also has rare but lethal side effects. We still drive.

REMEMBER!: The key to acne treatment is prevention with your treatment. When you are doing well do not stop it.
I haven't ever heard anything about dermalogica but I've heard that proactive works very well but because it has hormones in it, once you stop using it your acne will come back. For more information you can go to www.proactive.com

    Good Luck! -CRG

I don't know anything about Dermalogica, but I suggest using Murad products. I suffer from Rosacea and have tried every product under the sun, but Murad products were the first that actually worked for me. I use their redness relief line. My facial redness is greatly reduced and my skin is also much clearer and brighter. They also have an acne line and other great products. I HIGHLY recommend trying their stuff out. Dermalogica will be great for you and is a quality product. I would recommend, since you have oily skin, that you use their products for sensitive skin. If you use products for oily skin it will strip all of the natural oils from your skin and cause your skin to try and overcompensate for the lack of oil which can cause breakouts and flaky skin. I would recommend their special cleansing gel and oil control lotion as well as an exfoliator with microbeads (you can use it everyother day but, no sand or dirt scrub, rough particles will cause microscopic cuts on skin and lead to really bad breakouts). You may want to try Physicians Choice as well. Good Luck!Who uses the skin care line called ';dermalogica';?

I'm training to be a beauty therapist, and when doing facials we use Dermalogica. They are very expensive but very good.

Does anyone use Dermalogica skincare products, and if so, what do you think about them?

Well, the question pretty much says it all, but I was wondering also how quickly you got results and what the cost was per bottle roughly? I've been using the Clinique 3-Step plan and I don't feel that it's particularly made a difference - I have oily skin which can be prone to breakouts - so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Does anyone use Dermalogica skincare products, and if so, what do you think about them?
I'm a clinical aesthetician (skin care specialist) at a medi-spa and I sell and use Dermalogica products in my treatments. I specialize in acne/oily skin and I've used SEVERAL product lines. You should try Dermalogica AntiBac Wash. It's an antibacterial cleanser that lathers and foams. Use it morning and night. If your skin gets oily and shiny throughout the day, try Oil Control Lotion. Skin Prep Scrub is also good to remove dead skin cells and exfoliate the skin. If you're worried about aging and wrinkles, Gentle Cream Exfoliant it also good.

I don't have anything against Clinique, but consider this: ladies at the Clinique counter are trained to sell Clinique products; whereas an aesthitician is trained in skin care and how to help clients achieve the results they want.

Give Dermalogica a try. Try the cleanser and exfoliant for one month. Be aware that you may have a little bit of a breakout because Dermalogica products are designed to provide long lasting results and will bring some oil up to the surface of your skin the first couple of weeks. Dermalogica also has a makeup line. I would suggest you also try that. Whatever you decide, make sure you're using an oil free liquid foundation and loose powder. Wash your face and neck twice a day and use an exfoliant every other day. Also try Dermalogica AntiBac Cooling Gel. It's an antibacterial masque that will help sooth irritated blemish-prone skin while helping to prevent future breakouts. Good luck!Does anyone use Dermalogica skincare products, and if so, what do you think about them?
My husband uses Dermalogica and he really likes it. His skin looks good and isn't as oily as it used to be.

I'm not sure of the price but I know it is expensive.

Me, I use Clean and Clear and I love it! It's much cheaper than Dermalogica and my skin is flawless (I get compliments often, but I think it's mostly heredity, not anything I do).
i have used it. i got it from my aunt who works at a skin care. i'm guessing it costs around 15-20 dollars at the most. i think it's just like any other face wash, if you wash correctly, it will work. i used it though and it feels great afterward. so you should give it a try. hope this helped...
Nope I don't even know who they are
I used to use them but then found a few estheticians who said you can't expect one product to fix all people's skin. No two people are alike. My facial lady makes special products just for me, I have dry skin so she uses a base cream and adds more moisturizer for me. If someone else has oily, she adds something different. If you have some money to spend I would suggest looking for someone who does that or for a dermatologist who can recommend something else. I also like Biotherm products, the main ingredient is water - not alcohol like others. They made my skin great.

Has anyone tried dermalogica products and facials?

i am 30, hav asian skin.how often should i get facials done to slow down aging a little bit? I hav been recommended dermalogica products, they r too expensive and i am not sure if they are good enough. Olay works wonders on my skin but doesnt address pigmentation problem, can anyone advice me on that.Has anyone tried dermalogica products and facials?
I use their eye cream. Their products are good, but not the best on the market. If Olay is working for you, stick with it. Depending on what your pigmentation problems are, certain high end brands like Obagi have lightening creams that could help.Has anyone tried dermalogica products and facials?
I have different skin to you, as im from u.k, i did a beauty course and we used dermalogica and tbh its not as good as it seems, it made my skin feel itchy and tight and did the same for my friends.

Is there anywherre that you could try a sample of it? As it is very expensive and you dont want to be allergic or anything.

    xxx
i used that product for a while but i have to say i felt it very heavy on my face it was like the moisturiser didn't soak in when you rubbed it on at all just stayed on your skin, if you know what i mean. i still use their barrier repair i find it good after waxing. i now use darphin cleanser, toner and moisturiser and mask, i find it much better.
I use their moisturiser yes, it's expensive but good. HQ hair sometimes do deals.

What is better clearasil or dermalogica?

i use clearasil at moment the 3 in one wash. but have sent a order in for dermalogica special cleansilg gel and the precleanse. will this be a better brand to use on my sensitive spot prone skin?? just have heard it might make it worse. really appreaciate your views x xWhat is better clearasil or dermalogica?
If you have sensitive skin, why not try a product with a minimum amount of artificial additives? I love this Kiss My Face Exfoliating Face Wash:

    http://www.kissmyfacewebstore.com/detail鈥?/a>

Although the name says 'exfoliating,' it's actually quite gentle and nourishing to the skin. As it's made from natural and botanical ingredients, it isn't harsh, and doesn't contain smelly, false perfumes or fragrances. It just leaves you face feeling fresh and clean.

I follow up with plain, everyday witch hazel, which you can find at any drugstore. You can find the Kiss My Face line at Whole Foods Market, and you can get witch hazel there, as well.

Best of luck . . .What is better clearasil or dermalogica?
I use dermalogica and it works really well for me. I've used some clearasil products and they worked pretty well too, but not quite so good.

Everyone has different skin types so it's hard to judge. But as I said before. I preffer Dermalogica and think works very well.

I've never heard anything about it making stuff worse.
    Dermalogica.
I use Clearisil Ultra when I've got big breakouts, and Neutrogena's Stress-Control Acne line when my skin's being more tame.

When I first starting using Clearisil Ultra, my skin itched and it was red - but after three days of using it, that went away. Your skin, if it reacts badly to the product, will definitely let you know. If it's just itching and redness that's an annoyance and nothing more, that's just you getting used to a brand new product.

Dermalogica is supposed to be a good brand, though, and from the people I know who use it, it works. Just try it - medications like that rarely cause problems that can't be easily remedied somehow.
I've tired almost every product and they all made my skin worse. My skin is also sensitive, the product that has worked for me and I'm currently using is proactiv.... I'm not sure if you've tried this product but it works for me. Good luck!!

Does Dermalogica face wash work good on acne prone/oily/combination skin?

First of all,the most important thing for you to do is to determine what skin type are you. When you know your skin type, then you could choose the right products that suits your skin for optimum results. You could either get a skin analysis or determine it yourself by looking at the mirror.

About Dermalogica skin care products, these products suits any skin type so it is easier for you to get a full set of skincare regime regarding what your skin type is.If you are acne prone skin, get Dermalogica Clay Cleanser since it will withdraw any impurities that cause acne. And if you do have oily skin, always opt for an oil free moisturizer to prevent your face become more oily.

To get the best skincare regime,I would advise you to go to any Dermalogica outlets and get your skin analysis there. They will provide you the right skincare products.Plus,Dermalogica outlets also provide facial sessions which you can take every week to improve your skin.Me myself is a Dermalogica user and those facial sessions are great!!Hope I helped(:

P/s:Do purchase a cleanser, toner and moisturizer since these 3 things are the basic of skincare regime.Good luck!!

What should I try from dermalogica?

It depends what you want though i mean do you want to clean your skin ? Or wear something for when you go out ?

I definitely recommend their Tinted Moisturiser and try some of the Face mask thingy's that you leave on.. after it your skin feels so soft it's unbelieveable.

Yes it does, and it removes it really well, even the hard to get off stuff, but please BEWARE OF PRECLEANSE if you are using it before your face wash!!

I had a consultation with a dermalogica beautician and she recommended precleanse and clay facial wash because I have oily and spot prone skin. Only problem was the precleanse made my skin ten times worse. I thought ';OK, it will be drawing the rubbish out of my skin to make it better'; but it didnt!!

My skin just kept on getting worse until I stopped using it. Now I just use it as an eye makeup remover, and not as a pre cleanser for my face. Hope this helps!Does dermalogica precleanse remover eyemakeup aswell as makeup?

    Hiya,

Im 15 and have the same type of skin as you really. I find with moisterises anything works but when you have oily/combination skin ALWAYS get one that is 'oil free' it will moisterise the dry sections but not depositing no oil.

Cleansers, i have tried many i find none of the shop brands actually work and any ones that are suppost to be good just dry your skin out completely- out of all of them i have found Avon cleansers are the best they do a fantastic job and make your skin look fab! I am currently using the daily face wash with microbeads- i would reccomend that personally. You should always use a face scrub/mask at least once a week, this helps balance out your skin tone aswelll as even the cells out and removing any dead skin cells. After cleaning always use a toner (helps even out skin tone), then apply your moisteriser. Spots? I have tried many products i reccomend sticking to your usually skin regime (the one i just provided), dont use make-up (clogs paws leading to bad skin and more SPOTS). Avon do an anti-bactial cover up (concealer) to hide spots it works great apart from its a lil bit greasy. I currently use the WITCH one (you should find this in anystore) works the same but doesnt look greasy.

Good Luck i hope the information i provided helps! xoDoes dermalogica work out with young skin?

    * Mix ground sesame seeds with water and apply to skin. This will reduce inflammation.

Did you know that the dark spot you see in your face right after a pimple has subsided cannot be actually called a ';scar'; until it has remained on the skin after a few months or so? Naturally, when the skin is stretched and irritated, it leaves a temporary mark in the area but normally subsides within the next several weeks - just like a typical bruise on the skin. But if you would like to get rid of that acne scar as soon as you can, then not to worry. Here are the best and the most effective ways that you can make those acne scars go away!

    1. Tomatoes and cucumber. Tomato and cucumber are not only good for salads but are also great for your skin! You have probably seen cucumber being applied on eye bags before. This is because the cooling effect of cucumber can soothe the pain and swelling and shrink the eye bags. It can do the same for acne. Tomato on the other hand is a great anti-oxidant that prevents further skin damage. To get the best effect you can apply a blend of both fruits on your pimples and leave for 25 minutes. Just make sure that your face is newly washed before applying the paste to remove the dirt and excess oil on the skin.

    2. Sandalwood and black gram. Mixing these two ingredients together with milk or rose water can help reduce skin irritation and reduce the darkening of the affected area.

    3. Oils high in essential fatty acid. Oils with high essential fatty acid content such as Rosehip Seed Oil, Rose Mosqueta Oil or Lavender Oil can speed up scar fading on the skin. You can use these oils separately or use them as a combination in equal amounts.

    4. Using a cold compress. The process of using a cold compress to reduce scarring on the skin is called ';Icing';. You can put ice cubes in a zip lock bag or a cold compress bag and apply it to the affected area at 20-second intervals. You can actually do this as often as you like. The intermittent application of low temperature will help your pores contract and lessen the redness and scarring.

So there you have it: simple, home-made and effective cures for acne scars! So the next time you have pimple breakouts, you need not worry about too much scarring in your face. All you need to do is pick one of these remedies and you're good to go!

    Take care....

What Dermalogica products are good for clearing up acne?

What Dermalogical products are good for clearing up acne? I've never bought any of their products so I am not familiar with them. Any advise?

Thanks in advance! What Dermalogica products are good for clearing up acne?
The cheapest and the most effective product I've ever used for acne is baking soda. Seriously, it's amazing. Add it to your face wash and use it to ex foliate or make it into a paste with water and use it ask a mask. Before you buy anything else, see if baking soda can't clear up your skin.

    Dermalogica?

I have the dermalogica night clearning gel and I noticed it seems to make me break out at first. Is this common? To break out at first then your pimples go away..or should I just stop using it?I heard the dermalogica stuff is really good so I want to keep giving it a try but not if its just going to make me break out. What should I do?Dermalogica?
It doesn't matter how good the product is or claims to be, if it breaks your skin out, maybe it's not the right one for you. There may be a certain ingredient in it that irritates your skin. Others may love the product, but if it isn't working for YOU then I would highly suggest switching product lines. The whole point of using it is to make your skin look good, not to break you out.Dermalogica?
The most sensible answer for this one honey is to stop using it until you check with your pharmacist. Very often a lot of products will give a mild reaction and then settle down....but it's not a good idea to chance it if there is a chance that it could scar your skin...Nivea and Dove do good deep cleaning products especially for sensitive skin....Like i said check with your pharmacist i would not like to give you the wrong advice honey but your pharmacist will at least give you a better idea.....you could also look for the herbal varieties as these don't have chemical additives okay...
Sometimes a product can take up to 3 months to be MOST effective. This is because the skin MUST shed / be exfoliated twice. I have used Dermalogica for 12 years and I am also in the beauty industry. It works!!!
You might want to switch over to the Special Gentle Cleanser. I've been using that one, along with nearly every other Dermalogica product I need for about 10 years. No matter what else I try in phases, I always stick to that cleanser because it has never made me break out. The daily exfoliant (rice flakes) is REALLY awesome too but I only use it a few times weekly. Usually, we have to go through a short adjustment period on new products as it pulls crud imbedded in the pores but if it's particularly bad or irritating your skin, then switch now.
There are products or drugs like acutane that make you break out before your skin gets better. I will call customer service or ask your dermatologist to see if this is how this product works.
