Is dermalogica a good acne cleanser?

So just bought dermalogica facial acne clearing cleanser and i was just wondering how well it works. For that price i hope it does a good job! haha. Also while u are answering my question ill just ask another while im at it! haha. SO im 15 and i had realllllly bad skin about a year and a half ago but then after i got my period it went away and i had some acne but almost nothing, but recently for about the last 3 months my acne has gotten a lot worse and i dont understand why since it went away why it would just randomly come back! any ideas? Is dermalogica a good acne cleanser?
Yes, but try considering DermitageIs dermalogica a good acne cleanser?
try to use neutrogena

Is dermalogica good for spotty skin?

I have typical teenage skin. Oily, spotty, blackheads. I don't have any dry patches but I am very prone to breakouts, especially on my forehead and chin. I recently went for a facial and they use dermalogica products. She recommended a few things, like the acne prone skin kit. It contains anti-bac skin wash, oil control lotion, medicated clearing gel and a toner. Has anyone used any of these products or used the kit? Did it work for you? I'm not bothered by it drying up my skin because it never drys up. It is also not at all sensitive. Thanks! Is dermalogica good for spotty skin?
Hi, I started using this kit a couple of months ago - I'm 33 and have suffered with acne at varying degrees since I was 10, and dermologica seemed like a good product becasue it is meant to be good for sensitive skin. It cleared up, then I had the most horrendous breakout and I stopped using it. The past few weeks I've been using Pears soap, the moisturiser from the Dermalogica kit mixed with E45, non-acnegenic make up and my skin is much better. Oh yes, I didn't find dermalogica dried my skin up at all so its a good option from that point.

Dermologica is horrendously expensive but I got mine fro jersey cosmetics company on line, much cheaper!!

so maybe give the kit a go, the products are nice but certainly didn't cure me.Is dermalogica good for spotty skin?
Sorry, got the website wrong, its jersey beauty company .co.uk. good luck Report Abuse

Hi,

I work in a salon which sells Dermilogica which i also i use.

Dermilogica is well known product which has a good reputation. Im familiar with all the products you have listed and they have i think done the right thing with reccomending them as they are for acne skin.

i see they havent recommended a moisturizer you dont want to use too much of the oil control lotion and only use it only on the oily prone skin i would say get the active moist moisturizer also and drop the toner and maybe get the daily microfoliant exfoliator to help unblock the skin.

Do you wear lots of make up if so try pre cleanse its awsome gets rid of makeup in a flash and it does remove water proof mascara. It is expensive maybe only buy one thing at once.

Or if your desparate go to the doctor and get some cream for your skin to dry it up but again only use it on the oily parts dont be tempted to rub it everywhere.

x
Have you seen a dermatologist? I know what you are going through. I began suffering with Acne at age 23 and since I work in a salon we tried everything as far as facials and the expensive Sonya Dakar products that we sell. Nothing seems to get rid of it. I ended up having to make an appointment with a dermatologist and it ended up that my acne was caused by my hormones so I had to take medication. Be careful if they do extractions on your face during the facial because I know since I waited so long and tried everything in the salon before going to the dermatologist I am suffering with scarring now.
I use Clinique 3 step, cheaper than Dermologica but still expensive. Givew that a try (you can get a smaller version from Clinique counter for 拢22!).. Should last a few months, if your happy buy the big stuff or try Demalogica.

My mate told me about this yesterday, concidence! She has really clear skin, amazingly clear and I thought she was just lucky but now I know her secret!

If Clinique does not work out I'm going to try that out next.. Though it is doing a really good job at exfoliating deep into the pores and I can see the changes alrady!

Just go on the Clinique site and take the test, see what skin type you are, go to Debenhams or somwhere bigg in London and find a Clinique counter and ask for a Skin Type (whatever number) small pack 3-step skin care.

Good luck x
I used Dermalogica, it is very expensive and only slightly better than Neutrogena...

Which tinted moisturizer would you recommend? Dermalogica, Laura Mercier, MAC etc.?

My skin is combination and I occassionally get hormonal blemishes but nothing too serious - I do not have acne. I'm just looking for something to even out my skin tone that I can wear every day.

Brands I've been looking at; Dermalogica, Laura Mercier, MAC, MD Skincare, Philosophy, Stila ... or anything else you would recommend.

Price isn't a huge concern - I'm more basing my choice on quality. It needs to be oil-free as I plan to wear it every day and can't have it blocking my pores, SPF protection and no pink undertones as I am Italian/Spanish mix British so I'm pale but olive. I would prefer yellow/olive undertones.

Who's tried what? Which would you recommend for me?

Thanks =)Which tinted moisturizer would you recommend? Dermalogica, Laura Mercier, MAC etc.?
Dermalogica is really good, the only problem is that it only has 3 different color tones. If MAC makes one I would try that first because they more likely have your skin color tone.Which tinted moisturizer would you recommend? Dermalogica, Laura Mercier, MAC etc.?
MAC is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i use laura mercier and i love it!

and it also has spf in it which is also great.

i usually only use it on special occasions because of the cost,

but i wish i could wear it all the time! it's great.
So sexy
i dont know. but your avatar photo is hot!
Try MD Skincare moisturizer. It works great and is $44. It has SPF 15 and vitamin C!

Niviea tinted moisturiser is great! it leaves a really nice scent too.

  • Tinted Moisturiser? Clarins or Dermalogica?

Which is better for Acne Prone skin?

    Which provides better coverage?(foundation type)?

Which is more lasting and non oily?

    Thanks!Tinted Moisturiser? Clarins or Dermalogica?
dermalogica is better and worth the extra money. go to your beauty salon that uses dermalogica products and ask for a skin assesment. you should always heve your skin analysed by a professional befor switching products. they will tell you what works for your skin type and reccomend products to help you improove the condition of your skin. if you experience a few problems with your skin after you begin using an new product, stick with it. it just takes a little while for your skin to become used to it.Tinted Moisturiser? Clarins or Dermalogica?
Dermalogica better. But i do want to find one for myself but i dont know where...it just i ever used when i go for facial.
I'd say Dermalogica, love their products.

Is using a dermalogica cleanser on its own enough?

Basically, a couple of years ago i bought the small travel pack of dermalogica with the cleanser, toner, scrub and moisturizer and it worked really well. since then however, i haven't bought it again and am planning on buying it this week but was only thinking of buying the cleanser because i dont usually use a toner and the moisturiser i have at the moment works really well for me.

i was just wondering whether using the cleanser alone would work good. im also 16, so spending a fortune on skincare isnt really ideal lol. another reason for just getting the cleanser.

Thanks! Is using a dermalogica cleanser on its own enough?
the cleanser alone will work just fine. toner is good but not always a necessity. and if your moisturizer works well, then no need to change it. but you should consider getting the exfoliant as well since that is key to good skin care as well.

dermalogica did just release a teen line as well that looks really good. you may want to check into that as well.

    hope this works!

What dermalogica kit should I get for my skin?

I decided I'd give dermalogica a try and I'm going to get one of the starter kits to see if I like it. The problem is there's so many of them I don't know which one would be best for my skin. I don't have bad acne but I do get spots occasionally. I've noticed I get them during hormonal times, sometimes when I wear foundation, when I wear sunscreen and I also get them from some moisturizers. I also don't use toner because every time I have my skin goes really red and then gets dry.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! What dermalogica kit should I get for my skin?
I can't comment on which to get. If it's a store you're going to ask someone there.

I can comment on moisturizers. If you're breaking out from those, you're using the wrong one. I use Cetaphil and it's a really good moisturizer. However it is expensive but lasts a long time.

If you pout a moisturizer on, and your skin is still dry, then it's a crappy moisturizer :)

I never believed in toners. Ive heard more bad than good.

Sunscreen is a tough one. I'm sure there's something out there that is non comodegenic (now sure how to spell that) etc. But it will also be expensive, but worth it!

As for hormonal, birth control pills can help, but if you don't have benefits, they are expensive too. if you're under a certain age, you can get them cheap from a teen health center type of place.

Same with makeup, get the right kind, and something good to remove it.

People who break out or get some spots need to get things good for the skin or else you're complaining is your own fault :)

Is Dermalogica product really can clear my oily, acne skin face??

In my experience, Dermalogica products are excellent, though some of them contain ingredients which can aggravate sensitive skin.

It is hard to tell whether the products will help your skin without trying them out first. I think it is worth giving it a go, though Dermalogica is pretty expensive. They have trial kits for about 拢20 (UK) with several products in them if you want to give the range a go without spending a fortune.

I have put a link to the website below: click on your country and then look up ';acne prone skin kit';.

Has anyone used Dermalogica MultiVitamin Power Exfoliant and if so what did you think of the results?Dermalogica MultiVitamin Power Exfoliant?
It's a total waste of money. I used it and didn't notice a difference at all. I think I got the same if not better results from $3.00 St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

    Dermalogica questions?!?!?!?!?

I have a couple of questions about dermalogica products. I recently just bought the getting started kit which comes with the wash off, all over clear, ready set scrub, bedtime for breakouts, and welcome matte spf15. I just wanted to know:

    a. will it make my skin worse before it gets better? because i have a photoshoot on monday and i don't want my skin worse than it already is (even though i have a mild acne)

    b. will it help get rid of the red dots on my face left over by previous pimples?

    c. will it dry my skin out? because proactiv dried my skin out a lot and i don't want this to.

Thank you to everybody who answers! ((:Dermalogica questions?!?!?!?!?
Just like you, I'm also curious because I've been using the dermalogica starter kit for normal/oily skin and I am experiencing breakouts. I'm not sure if it's dermalogica's way of getting it better or if this product is just not for my skin.

Dermalogica - is it worth the money?

So my skin is pretty much just cursed. I break out randomly all the time and I take good care of my skin, but its still completely messed up. I've tried so many brands - any brand you suggest, you bet I've tried it. I went to the doctor when my skin was really bad at one point and those creams helped, they just make my skin incredibly dry and I couldn't keep getting the prescription. Sometimes my skin is in good condition and then others it just goes crazy. I've also been to naturopaths.

My skin is very sensitive and very oily.

    Dermalogica Facials!?

I often use dermalogica products and my acne prone skin is looking good. I haven't had a break out in a while, but whilst in the hairdressers today, she was saying i should get a dermalogica facial that they do in the beauty part of the salon.

Has anyone had a dermalogica facial before? what are they like and what results can i expect?

    Thanks!Dermalogica Facials!?
Although I don't use Dermalogica products I decided to go for a Dermalogica facial. I must say afterwards my skin and as smooth as glass and it looked really healthy. The beautician used several products including, essential cleansing solution, daily microfoliant, intensive moisture mask and intensive moisturizer.

However, after a few weeks of using Dermalogica products at home my skin wasn't getting any better so I'm not really a fan. But the facial is great!

    Dermalogica Masks?

Are the range of Dermalogica masques (masks) setting or non-setting masks? And what does setting and non=setting masks mean? thank you !!!Dermalogica Masks?
A setting mask would probably be for a more oily skin type and dries onto the face so has to be washed off when its set. A non setting mask would be for drier skin and doesn't dry at all, it has a high level of moisturiser in it so you would just wipe it off your face after 5 mins or so and your skin will be soft and moisturised. I use Dermalogica intensive moisture masque, its so good and makes my skin feel lovely afterwards.

    Does dermalogica really works ???

about a month ago, i went to derma skincare, to cure my acne, and after face-mapping, the beautician, gimme list of dermalogica products which i must buy. they are anti-bac facial wash, multi active toner, oil control lotion, medicated clearing gel, daily microfiliant, and solar boost defend spf 30 but i didnt buy daily microfiliant and the sunblock, because they are too expensive.

the beautican told me that i have to use warm water to rinse the facial wash, but i dont use warm water, because i dont have water-heater in my apartment.

and now, after more than a month, i didnt get any result of it, i still have some acne on my face. it dissapoint me, because i spent like $170 to buy dermalogica products.

does it really works to help me cure my acne??? should i go to derma skincare and tell them, that i dont get satisfying result using their product. because on the dermalogica product, it is written that the product is guaranteed when profesionally recomended.

please answerDoes dermalogica really works ???
I also had bad skin and i went for 2 dermalogica facials and it cleared my skin up so it does work. I think you should go tell them it isn't working for you so they can perhaps change your treatment. I know it worked for me and one of my friends too so i'm sure it will work for you. It is a good product, maybe they made a mistake somewhere along the line. Go tell them.Does dermalogica really works ???
I use Dermalogica and it take a few weeks to get the results that you are wanting. This is what I use and it works just fine for me. I use the anti-bacterial facial wash. Then I use witch hazel to tone my face ($1.29), I then use the oil control medicated cleansing gel. They sell a acne spot remover but I use Clean %26amp; clear Persa gel by Johnson %26amp; Johnson($4.99). Of course they are going to try and sell you all of that stuff. They get paid a percentage of what they sell to you. Dermalogica is a good brand but it is hightly over rated. You can buy much better facial cleanser over the counter. If you want a list of things to buy then e-mail me and I will help you put a list together.
Dermalogica gave me some results. I used their face wash for about a month, but it did not get rid of my pustules.

I suggest you go all-natural to get rid of your acne fast. This is what finally worked for me after Proactiv, Nature's Cure, and Clearasil stopped working. Essential oils, natural herbs, and natural nutrients are the best way to kill whiteheads because they can penetrate the skin without tearing down the dermis. Fight nature by using nature. Essential oils are higher powered and more effective than any acid or peroxide created in a lab that was “derived” from some natural source. They are extremely potent and not harmful to your skin. Furthermore, they actually help to balance sebum without making your skin oily. The best product on the market that has essential oils and kills acne is Beauty 4 Ashes No More Shame 24 Hour Acne Eliminating Facial Kit. The makers claim that there stuff works overnight; and I have to say, it really does. In the two months that used it, my acne and scars literally disappeared. Best yet, in one year, my acne and blemishes have not returned and my pores have shrank. Beauty 4 Ashes has several skin care products created to treat acne, but I recommend ordering their kit first to get a bit of everything. You can find it online at www.discoverb4a.com.
That depends an what type products and facial you are doing? Using warm water to rinse the facial wash is not a good ideal cause if your skin tends to get pimples it show that it is active. If you are using warm water it increases its temperture stimulate condition will get even worse. Most important must get the right salon
    i deffinately think that

dermalogica is amoung one of the

best products out there for skin!!!

i love it and always see results!
I also have used the Dermalogica products without success. You should definitely go back and get a refund. Most of the time acne is diet related. Have a look at your diet and cut back refined sugars (white flour, sugar, white rice, pastas) and don't drink sodas. They're full of corn syrup and artificial sugars as well as loads of other chemicals that are bad for you.

I am a firm believer in Origins face products as well as Aveeno's line that you can purchase in a drugstore. You'll spend way less than the Dermalogica.

You can also go to the dermatologist to see what he/she recommends. My sister-in-law used Accutane with great success for her acne, but Accutane has some potentially serious side-effects and is monitored by your physician.

    I hope this helps!

Are Dermalogica's eye creams any good?

Yes! But be carefull when buying! A good eye cream must be light weight and glide on easily. If the cream cannot be tapped on, avoid that product. A heavy eye cream can also make the skin puff up or even block your pores.

Eye creams can cost you a lot of money. So before deciding on a specific brand, visit the cosmetic counters and speak to the reps. There are lots of samples available and it is the best way to find the perfect cream for your skin. Are Dermalogica's eye creams any good?

    Dermalogica success stories?

has anyone used this product line and saw that it actually worked? Dermalogica success stories?
I love Dermalogica products! I have been using them for quite sometime. I have combination skin that borders on dry/sensitive. The products that I have used are the Special Cleansing Gel, Skin Smoothing Cream and the Multipower firm.

The Special Cleansing Gel is not soap based and gentle on the skin. The Skin Smoothing Cream is great -- moisturises without the skin feeling greasy. The moisture lasts all day.

The Multipower Firm is the best! It's great as an under-eye primer and 'puffs up' all those little lines around your eyes (or mouth) so that the concealer or foundation doesn't crease.

All of the products contain no artificial colours. They're also virtually fragrance free, which can be disappointing for some. Personally, the fact that you know that it won't irritate your skin is a good trade off.

Yes the products are a little on the pricey side but they're worth it in my opinion as you never have to use very much of them.

There's a new website I discovered the other day that has reviewed some of the Dermalogica products. It's called Best Beauty Review http://www.bestbeautyreview.com -- they also directed me to a discounted beauty site to buy it cheaper!

I just bought the Daily Microfoliant as my sister raves about how it clears her blackheads and evened out her skin tone. I hope it does the same for me!

Was thinking of changing my make up and i was wondering if anyone has used dermalogica make up?? Im interested in giving it a go because its supposed to be less harsh on the skin and far more moisturizing than normal foundations. If anyone has used it or is using it let me know what you think!!

    Much appreciated xxxxDermalogica make-up??
I havent tried the makeup, but I went to school and learned the whole Dermalogica product line. their products are more mild, and suited for all skin types. They are made not to clog the pores and all, and still effectively treat. they make sure the molecular structure is perfect so it is able to penetrate the skin where it needs to and as deep as it needs to. Ive been using the facial product line for a year now, and its great. I highly recommend it.Dermalogica make-up??
My skin is oily and this caused more oil. I do not recommend it. Try Dermacia from CVS. It is a great foundation and skincare product-

It Is For Very Dry Skin/ Dehydrated Skin, It is quite thick but full of ingredients that Rehydrate the skin and Keep it Soft.

    http://www.dermalogica.com/uk/products.h鈥?/a>

You Could also use ' Dermalogica: Super Rich Repair ' which is for Very Dry Pre - Aging Skin which again is Moisturising, And Also Has A Cell Renewal Complex that will encourage new Healthy Skin Cells To Reproduce

    http://www.dermalogica.com/uk/products.h鈥?/a>

Lastly You Could use ' Barrier Repair ' Which Mainly works on the Barrier layer on your skin Repairing it and Keeping Moisture Locked In The Body.

Right Now You Probably have a Impaired Barrier Layer so Using Barrier Repair will Repair that layer Keeping Moisture locked in and keep your skin Looking Healthy, Its also Waterless so it wont freeze your skin which also has a aging effect.

  • Where can you buy dermalogica at?

Find out where a location near you is here: http://www.dermalogica.com/SkinCareLocat鈥?/a>Where can you buy dermalogica at?
Spas. They are exclusive with spas which means it would be illegal to sell them anywhere else (altho im SURE u can order it off the internet from some hobo in his trailer selling it). Thats what makes it a ';professional product';.

Because spas make alot of their revenue from sales of products, hussle them for a deal, like ask for a discount and they should be able to if they want the sale.

I seriously love these products! I went for a facial and they used these on my skin and i've been using them ever since. I used to use the clinique three step program and i'm a convert. On a daily basis i use the special cleansing gel and the active moisturiser and then once or twice a week I use a facial scrib. I've honestly noticed an improvement. I'm not getting the break outs that i used to. Give them a go. I've converted my sister, aunty and a couple of my friends. There is no harm in trying. Get one of the trial kits, I'm sure you'll love them.Dermalogica products?
I've tried Dermalogica-they are good but not as good as the hype I find,I have very sensitive skin and I find sometimes they dry it out.The ones I have used are Microfoliant,a Masque and Moisturiser(although I forgot the names).
I had a Dermalogica face mapping session few months ago, and the beautician told me I needed Preclense and Dermal Clay cleanser. Both of these made my acne even worse!! I also tried Activmoist (excuse spelling!) and that did nothing for me either. From personal experience, they are not as good for sensitive skin as they make out. Also, they were a little too pricey to buy and not like, so if you want to try for yourself, I recommend testers, although I used my products for a good 2 weeks before they made my skin worse. I thought these products would be the answer to my prayers - how wrong I was!! Hope this helps!

It's great - I'm really impressed with it. I have a cleanser, a toner and a moisturiser. It's specially designed for sensitive skin, and has no perfume etc in it.

you can also buy other items, including a face wash. But I like the ones I have, because I can do them all without getting out of bed (I am so lazy!) and my skin is really soft and clear now, and my friend is complaining hers is really dry from the cold weather.

its in my dermatologists office so it must be good .. i haven't tried it though i want to.What do you think of dermalogica??
It sucks! I used it and I still had tons of black heads. I might as well have went to walgreens and purchased Ponds face cleaner or something. Now I use Dr. Perricone's line. It works great and I look like I'm about 22 years old! I actually just turned 29 the begining of March! I shock people all the time because they think I am so young. The downside of using Dr. Pericone products though is that they cost a lot of money, but it lasts about three months. Therefore, I think it is money well spent.

Is dermalogica a good skin brand??

Yup, my brother had a terrible acne all over his face... now that he use dermalogica he's face is now better.. less acne...just for 1/2months...

although the product is expensive around 70/80/90/+...

but when u have your facial there, they check your face expertly as if they know what to do to your face... then they asked u to fill out some kind of form to know your lifestyle(active, drink water,allergy,etc..) then the start facial...

results was not very surprising first.. den th next day or the other day, u will see its effect tremendously.

Now they use modern technique/technology for better skin treatment example the nano- somthing i forgot..., oxygen, golden mask...etcIs dermalogica a good skin brand??
Yes, I use Dermalogica and have for some time. It is more on the pricey side but then again you cant really put a price tag on quality can you?

I have used several different kinds of their cleansers, moisturizers and masque's...I have super sensitive skin and have never had any sort of reaction to anything ive tried. Is dermalogica a good skin brand??
As said above by the others Dermalogica is a great product. Their products can be quite pricey. In Australia a facial cleanser is around $80 and moisturizer around the same. Although the products are expensive, it is worth the cost, because having pure, clean and smooth skin is a wonderfull feeling.
Absolutely! I have used Dermalogica for a long time and it leaves your skin flawless. It is a wonderfull high quality product that ensures healthy skin. I have sensitive skin and I have never had an allergic reaction to any of their products. Dermalogica is the best!

Some of my friends use them and think they're great. One of the cheapest places to buy them is www.jerseybeautycompany.co.uk. They are vat exempt and ship products free worldwide, also including samples with orders. Hope this helps.
    Hi

I use Dermalogica products and swear by them. Yes they are expensice but it depends on what your needs - the best thing to do would be to see a facialist and they will do 'face mapping' which tells you what of the range would suit you best and where to use it. As it can be pricey it's worth doing that as you may only face wash, toner or pimple remover.

I started using D products about a year ago and everyone now comments on how amazing my skins looks, and lots of my friends use it too - we love it. To get it cheaper try the below website....
I order all mine from www.lookfantastic.com its a great site which if you subscribe gives you great discounts from there online shop. Products are expensive yes but they are all effective and seem to last longer than the cheaper equivelents. With regards to what products to purchase for dry skin, if you pop along to a local Dermalogica salon they do something called Face Mapping which looks at your sin and its problems and comes up with a selection of products ideal for your skin. Hope this helps
if you got dry skin get the dermalogica skin booster its like silk to put on its amazing not sure how much it is but my skin is mega dry but it makes it look and feel much better
I used their eye cream and didn't like it - luckily it was only a sample. I found it quite drying. If you go to www.beautyflash.co.uk you can request a sample of what it is you're wanting to try from Dermalogic, they are very nice - if you have any questions you can e-mail the consultants. My friend uses dermalogica and says this is the cheapest website to purchase it from.
Yes I make my own moisturiser also sell it 拢3.50 plus postage. No nasty chemicals and no petrochemicals which harm your skin. Almond oil shea butter and other goodies in my cream. Email me and I will send you a price list for my shampoos shower gel and lots more. All made in my kitchen to order.

    Dermalogica in the US?

    Hi

Does anyone know if any of the shops in Orlando Premium Outlet sell Dermalogica products?Dermalogica in the US?
wow that's a great line of skin care products. you're going to have to call around to salons that do facials to get that line in your hands. also try beauty schools. call and ask what lines do they use for facial services. You may even want to get a service done there for a fraction of the cost of a salon. don't be freaked out that its a student doing the service. they cant do anything in a client that they haven't already passed in a practical classes. and an instructor is usually in the room or near by if you feel unsure of the knowledge of the student you can ask to speak the the instructor. a consultation is the first step, its a chance to ask questions and to state your needs so you both know what it is your there for.Dermalogica in the US?
    i think so
go to their web site dermalogica.com and it'll have a list of places that sell the product in ur area.

Please Answer: Proactiv, Arbonne or Dermalogica?

Grr I hate my skin so much..if it wasnt for my skin I would proabably be 100% happy!

I have really oily skin and tend to get breakouts alot of the time. I use proactiv at the moment but I have been noticing how dry my skin is since using it which has been about 7 months. It has worked a bit but my skin hasnt cleared up totally and I want something that will. Some people have suggested using Arbonne and then others have said Dermalogica. Do I stick with Proactiv? Can someone please give me some reviews or opinions on these please. I just want nice glowing skin! Thanks. Please Answer: Proactiv, Arbonne or Dermalogica?
I have used Proactive in the past and was not happy. It made my face very dry as it uses benzoyl peroxide. I have since used Arbonne's acne line with great results. I've included the information on the Clear Advantage skin care line.

Arbonne Clear Advantage Acne Wash- Soothing, oil-free, deep pore cleanser unclogs pores and cleanses away dirt. Medicated with acne-fighting, prescription quality salicylic acid. Active ingredients are deposited directly into the pore, helping to clear blemishes and prevent new ones from forming.

Arbonne Clear Advantage Refining Toner- Alcohol-free, oil free toner helps balance and calm skin while removing excess oils. Enhanced with alpha hydroxy acids to gently and effectively remove dead skin cells. Skin is left clean, soothes, hydrated and refreshed.

Arbonne Clear Advantage Acne Lotion- Mild, oil free lotion with acne fighting salicylic acid penetrates pores to destroy blemishes causing bacteria, improving problem skin. Soothing and calming botanical agents help to heal and hydrate skin.

Arbonne Clear Advantage Skin Support- A uniquely developed dietary supplement to support the skin from the inside out. A combination of acne-fighting nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals and amino acids, plus botanicals used for centuries to improve skin conditons.

Arbonne backs up all of it's products with a 45 day money back guarantee. I have yet to have a client be unhappy with their results. I'd be happy to send you some before and after pictures of those who have used the Clear Advantage line...click on my website and send me an email. Please Answer: Proactiv, Arbonne or Dermalogica?
I used to use ProActiv until discovered Arbonne. My skin has never looked better and I don't break out anymore and that has been 3 years now.
Here are some products you can try

Products that are effective to eliminate dry skin

    http://www.dry-skin-care-guide.com/produ鈥?/a>
Proactiv worked much better than the other two for me.

Are you following the entire routine with the Proactiv and using the toner and lotion? The lotion should keep you skn from drying out too much. My skin has been clear for over a year with Proactiv, but you have to follow the instructions exactly as directed, don't skip any steps. The Arbonne especially didn't work well for me, I actually think it made my skin worse!
I don't know about the other 2. But, I can tell you about Proactive. I bought it once, but It didn't do much for my skin, actually It is not the best product I've used. Don't believe the commercial. Anyway right now I'm a little bit better I'm using Lancome and it is great, I feel that if I keep on using it I would get much much better.
I can tell you that Arbonne has a great product line that does not contain harsh chemicals which can irritate and dry out your skin. I have been using Arbonne Anti Aging regimen for almost a year and I have noticed a significant difference in the appearance of my skin.
Every body's skin is different I have customers the switch from Proactive to Mary Kay because it was drying out their skin but I also know people that switched the other way the only thing you can do is try. The difference is with Arbonne or Mary Kay you have a consultant to work with you if you need to make adjustments I don't think Proactive has anyone you can call do they?
Hmm...has your face gotten a lot better (even though it's no cleared up all the way?? Because usually acne can't ever be completely cured. It just depends on how well the proactiv is working, althought dry skin is uncomfortable and also not healthy, so it's just a decision you have to make! For me, exfoliating my face keeps it clear (along with proactiv...so far....) I exfoliate it about every other day (more than what most people do but it works for me). ALSOOO....you can go on birth control which generally improves acne.

    Clarins or Dermalogica?

Hello - which would anyone recommend for early 30 yr old skin...I am happy with brands like Olay etc but would like to buy some other cleansers and moisturisers.Clarins or Dermalogica?
dermologica.. clarins is good too but perhaps a little strong for youClarins or Dermalogica?
never heard of those, but I heard orgins is really good and its all natural. its a little pricey. but they have everything, skin car, makeup, fragrances. check it out

I will always suggest a professional skin care product line rather than a retail or Over The Counter line. Your Esthetician will be able to properly suggest which products will work best on your skin and which will enhance it.
I would recommend a Dermalogica facial, that way they sit down with you and ask about your lifestyle and are able to come up with products that will be perfectly suited to you, rather than just someone in a shop picking something out. Plus, it's a nice treat!
Dermalogica, im also 30 and have to say having started with the Dermalogica about 6 weeks ago my skin has never looked better. I had one of there facials before then bought the prodcuts. Best thing i have ever tried.
Hi i used to use clarins myself until i found the best skin products ever, my girlfriend told me to go to myhealthabcmall.com nd use theirs. The stuff is awesome, been using now for over two years, makes your skin look and feel so good, plus the anti wrinkle cream (i am a little older than you) has taken 90% of my wrinkles away. Try it-its the best

Dermalogica although expensive is the best!

    Anyone recommend dermalogica skin care?

Hi, I'm thinking of trying some of the Dermalogica skincare range but I'm not sure if it will be worth the money, has anyone used it and what did/do you think of it? I have dry skin %26amp; sometimes get spots, I've tried so many creams %26amp; don't know what to do..Anyone recommend dermalogica skin care?
Yes defiantly! i went to one of there shows, i got loads of free samples i ended up going back and buying the face wash and exfoliater, the hole lot!i loved it so much! I have dry skin to and do break out in spots quite often! but since i have been using dermalogica, my skins really soft and clear! Defiantly recommend it!!!Anyone recommend dermalogica skin care?
I would most certainly say yes. I would however go to a dermlaogica approved beauty salon and get the dermalogica face mapping done. Most people make the mistake of thinking that they have a certain skin type, but you can have multiple skin types on the face.

When you go to buy the products you'll get a better deal online. Lookfantastic have been an official dermalogica retailer for over 5 years online and have great deals.

i tried a bunch of the acne products with much worse results than traditional over the counter products. except the oil absorbing moisturizer (forget the exact name) works pretty good on my extra-oily skin.

as for the other products ive tried... way too expensive. the acne wash has same active ingredient as a million other over the counter products. same goes for the treatment gels--can get exactly the same active ingredients for 5 or so dollars.

Anyone who uses dermalogica..would you recommend it?

i had a dermalogica facial the other day so there is a few products i am considering getting. it is a bit more expensive though so i want to know i would continue to get good results. i am a teenager prone to breakouts, so i dont mind spending more if im gonna get good results.

im going on hols in under 2 weeks and i suffer from mild acne with constant berakouts will this work, what happened 2 u ??

best will get 10 pointsDermalogica acne prone skin kit?
I've tried a lot of these kits and can honestly tell you, there a waste of money. There expensive and simple will fix your skin until a certain point. They may even damage. My suggestion is if you want to stop break outs. ToothPaste will do the job. Apply for 2 minutes, make sure its paste and not gel. Then just wash off. This will keep your skin dry. Then apply a moisturizer. Do this in the monrning everday. At night simply wash your face with warm water and go to sleep. Just repeat this process.

Dermalogica cleansers! whats your verdicts on them?!?

any one tried them. thinking of trying the precleanse and either.. ultracalming cleanser or special cleaning gel! any one tried any of these? if so what did you think? i tend to get breakouts sometimes and blackheads. but i have sensitive skin so its dry in some places and oilier in others so will these products be ok on my skin? what do you recon?! xDermalogica cleansers! whats your verdicts on them?!?

It gave my face like an allergic reaction! this stuff is crap!

how do i get my face to heal :(Clean Start face spot treatment by dermalogica, allergic reaction?!?!?!?
Not sure how you can get it to heal, but I do know that you should take it back. Most places that sell dermalogica are able to (if you have a reation) send the product back to the company and give you your $ back.

    Dermalogica Exfoliant Accelerator?

Has anyone used this or had the treatment at a salon? what did they use it for? was it any good? how many treatments? what was your experience? is it any good for treatment of spot scars? would you recommend it? I've used the dermalogica power exfoliant and it makes a considerable difference with the overall tone and pigmentation problems i have and this is said to be must stronger. do you agree? what are your opinions on this treatment generally?Dermalogica Exfoliant Accelerator?
I use demalogica products and it agrees with my shin. However I have never used this before. Since the power exfoliant agrees with you, that is a good place to start. Perhaps you should enquire from your therapist before using it.Dermalogica Exfoliant Accelerator?
I'm thinking you might be referring to glyconic acid facial treatments. You can get the same produce used at salons on e-Bay. I will caution you, that the stronger percent of the solution you get, the more it burns. Yes, it has a burning sensation and the first time I used it, I felt like my face was on fire. You only leave it on 2-3 minutes then rinse with cold water. I think it made the pigmentation better, definitely makes the texture of your skin nice and silky. You only do it once a week or so. As far as scars, nothing changed there. But it does take of that layer of dead skin cells very effectively. After using that I use a buff puff the rest of the week. I only use the glyconic acid once a month now and I'm satisfied with the results. Two or three minutes of discomfort is worth a glowing complexion.

    no
i've tried it before, it's a little too greasy for me. i don't have sensitive skin though. you can probably get a sample of it though to try it out. i used to work at a beauty supply store and we had samples of it all the time.
Try Clinique - ask in Boots the Chemist.

    http://www.google.com/search?q=Clinique%26amp;鈥?/a>
It's a fab product for summer, love it. If you're after a healthy glow use the dermalogica face tan every 2-3 days and the tinted moisturiser daily.
Its expensive and there are much nicer tinted moisturisers available, its greasy and I found that it did not sit well, clinique is good for sensitive skin, I buy there liquid foundation and mix it with clinque dramatically different moisturiser, clinque do not have much of a choice of colours in there tinted moisturiser range so mixing the foundation and moistriser together works well.

Is it ok to use dermalogica?

Is ok for a 16 year old to use Dermalogica...

I use to use Dior products for my face...

until someone told me its bad and its for older women =)Is it ok to use dermalogica?
Dermalogica is the most recommended skin care products among estheticians. It is completely natural and definitely safe for a 15 year old. You are ahead of the curve! And as long as you can afford it... I also use their products and love them. I recommend the Daily Resurfacer and the Intense Repair Moisturizer.

    http://www.dermalogica.com/default2.asp?鈥?/a>

And Dior is not just a product for old people either- it is never to early to start taking care of your skin. People have a perception that these products are for old people because older women tend to care more about their skin and the signs of aging and they can also afford the more expensive products. Is it ok to use dermalogica?
Hi, I personally would never ever use dermalogica after i watched a current affairs program not too long ago that showed a young woman who went for a facial at her local beauty salon and the beautician used dermalogica products on this womans skin and the poor thing had such a shocking reaction to the stuff, her face went crazy with sores and boils and lots of bad stuff and the thing is she had lovely skin before and then she could not go out for months she said and is still suffering. I know this could be a one off allergic reaction or something and that if people use new products then they should have a sensitivity test, but i know i will not ever use that stuff!
to be safe, just use soap and water or choose a product that doesn't have too much chemicals on it. try Avon products.

    use proactive
I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
One day, I knew aloe is good to treating acne, and one of my Korean friends told me of a product called Aloe Enne from Namyang Aloe.

I tried it several weeks, and I am so pleased about the result.

After cleaning up my face, I put it on my face, and it feels like my skin gets much moist and healthier. I think aloe really works.

So I hope you have the good skin too.

yes give it a try again! i work w/ these products everyday and suggest:

DERMAL SKIN CLEANSER AND ANTI-BAC SKIN WASH-I would alternate between these 2 cleansers to combat excess oil production and breakouts.

SKIN PREP SCRUB-as an exfoliant but DO NOT USE if you are taking prescribed exfoliation medications. also DO NOT USE on inflammed, sunburned, sensitive or recently waxed skin.

ANTI-BAC COOLING MASQUE %26amp; SKIN REFINING MASQUE-I would alternate these aswell the anti-bac to prevent breakouts and the skin refining to help the excess oil production. These only need to be used once a week.

MULTI-ACTIVE TONER-to help restore ph after cleansing and exfoliating.

OIL CONTROL LOTION-this combats excess oil production and breakouts.

As for blemishes and scarring you need a professional exfoliation. Go to the nearest spa or dermatologists office that uses dermalogica and ask for a professional exfoliation using Skin Exfoliant System + Exfoliant Excelerator 26. This a Dermalogica customized exfoliant combination w/ a Bioactivity score of 19.5 This CAN be used on acneic and excessivly oily skin. Just remember DO NOT USE if you are taking prescribed exfoliation medications. Also DO NOT USE on wounded, sunburned or recently waxed skin. Hope this helps!Dermalogica??
yes i think its worth the price, use the anti bac cooling mask, and remember that overwashing your face can make you break out too!! Your natural oils help your pores and always irritating them can cause breakouts...have you ever used body shop products, i really like the tea tree oil kinds, and they have a new seaweed line which is great for breakouts... also orgins has a charcoal mask which is so good for white heads... good luck.
stop washing your face more than 2x daily, you will make your skin produce more oil as a result of the drying out from overzealous cleansing. Get the antibac wash, follow with medicated clearing gel at night and you will see improvements. Try it! It works!

  • Dermalogica's ultra sensitive spf 30 faceblock question?

    Hello,

I have just bought this product, and was wanting to know whether it is as good as any other sun protection, it says on the packaging that is has filters for both UVA and UVB and doesn't used harsh chemicals, instead it uses mineral oxides...but I am concerned that it won'tbe as good as other big sellers. Can anyone advise me?Dermalogica's ultra sensitive spf 30 faceblock question?
Mineral oxides make excellent sunblocks. They don't irritate like chemicals, and they ar highly effective. The only problem is that they sometimes have a white appearance like clown makeup if the particles are not small enough. Dermatologica is probably OK in this regard.

setting masks marks the parameters with which dermalogical variations can be defined. in other words, if the paradigm is a variable, you can assume the non setting masks are also the same variable.

    Is Dermalogica suitable for me?

I have combination skin and it is more oily in summer but a lot flakier and drier in winter. I break out occasionally and i'm a 14 year old girl. I was thinking of trying of Dermalogica as I've heard raves and lots of recommendations. Is it all that good? Will it suit me?Is Dermalogica suitable for me?
    Dermalogica is luckily, for everyone.

It's high quality, exceptional skin care. I highly recommend it, but keep in mind if you're only 14 and paying for it yourself, it's not cheap, so why not start by mixing a FEW of thier products into your normal regime like a moisturisor or face mask, and slowly work your way to the full cleanser, toner etc.

Good luck!Is Dermalogica suitable for me?
Try Proactive. I've heard that works like a miracle.

I don't break out, unless if I scratch my face too hard. haha

    so i'm not sure.
I think dermalogica is a great skin care product, but you might want to try samples of it before you buy the products as they can be quite expensive and to see if you dont have a reaction to them, any salon that provides dermalogica should be able to provide samples, or you could have a facial at a dermalogica salon and beauty therapist will be able to tell you which dermalogica products suit you skin.

i havent used every single dermalogicas products but from the ones that i have used, none of them were effective, just to name a few- anti bac cooling mask, daily exfoliant, oil control lotion....

of course, every persons skin is different and reacts in different ways, but i generally dont like dermalogicas stuff and prefer other brands- try JM, they work betterFor those who use Dermalogica anti bac skin wash?
Dermalogica is a wonderful product, just give it a week again and see what happening....
Hi, I use this product occasionally, but i find that Dermalogicas special clearing booster works really well, with fast results. Also you can buy cheaper Dermalogica products from this website: www.jerseybeautycompany.co.uk
Hi! My situation is slightly different, I am 31 and started with adult acne when I was about 30, having never had acne as a teenager. I had tried everything and was getting really fed up with spending money on new products just for them to make my skin worse. I treated myself to a facial last year and the therapist used dermalogica on my skin and did me a full ';facial mapping';. Turns out that I didn't have acne at all, just really sensitive skin. I started using Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel and Active Moist moisturiser. Within 2 weeks, I could see a real difference. I recently started using a cheaper product but soon went back to Dermalogica. It really is worth the money and patience. I would say that 1 week is too soon to see a big improvement. If you haven't already, then I would suggest that you get a skin analysis from a Dermalogica therapist. Look in the Yellow Pages for salons who use their products. They will then find out your skin type and recommend which products are suitable. I also use a scrub once a week to gently get rid of dead skin cells. Good Luck!
You can keep on using it or try Clinelle range, they have a Blemish Clear product also and it worked on my 27 year old daughter really well. The Gel Cleanser will also help wash away the oily skin...

I always suggest washign with warm water and also using a cloth to rub over the skin gently it helps to take off the dead cells also and clear way the bumps.

    Drink loads of water also....
It will take longer than a week for any product to work. I have used it in the past together with the moisturiser..........you need to look at what may be causing these spots. its possible that its clearing them up, but your maybe using or eating something else that is setting htem off again. My doctor recommended an antibacterial lotion, that I put on at night - its called Zineryt - try it -= its brilliant
